A Record-Breaking Qurbani Season
Alhamdulillah, this year's Qurbani/Udhiya Initiative was our most impactful yet. Through the generous donations of supporters worldwide, we were able to purchase and distribute quality meat to over 500 families across Ghana and Gambia.
The Impact in Numbers
- 35 cows and 120 sheep were sacrificed
- 500+ families received fresh meat
- 2,000+ individuals were fed
- All meat was sourced from local farmers
On the Ground
Our team on the ground worked tirelessly to ensure every sacrifice was performed according to Islamic guidelines. The meat was then carefully packaged and distributed to families identified as most in need—orphans, widows, the elderly, and those living in extreme poverty.
Community Celebrations
For many of these families, Eid al-Adha is one of the few times during the year they have access to meat. The joy on their faces as they received their portions was a powerful reminder of why this work matters. Children played in the streets, families gathered to cook together, and entire communities came alive with celebration.
Supporting Local Economies
By sourcing all animals from local farmers, our Qurbani program also provides an economic boost to the communities we serve. Farmers receive fair prices for their livestock, creating a ripple effect of positive impact that extends beyond the holiday.
Year-Round Food Security
While Qurbani is a highlight, our food security work continues throughout the year. We are committed to addressing the root causes of hunger and ensuring vulnerable communities have access to nutritious food consistently.
JazakAllahu Khairan to everyone who contributed. Your generosity truly made this Eid special for hundreds of families.
